Now the task of putting everything back down - good chance for a spring clean I think!.The flood has arrived here and is huge but slowed down so much on the way that the community had plenty of time to prepare, with filling sandbags and raising levees. Have any of you met Jinny Beyer? I am very lucky to be going to a weekend class with her next weekend. I am not sure what we are going to be doing, just know it is handsewing as that is all she does and we are going to have a great time!!I am really looking forward to meeting her.

The postman arrived with a little parcel for me this morning. My pincushion from Claire, which is gorgeous. (as you can see) It says 'take time to smell the roses' and that is what we all should do. After reading here and seeing Pink Saturday I thought I would have a green Sunday. Green being my favourite colour. After winning a "guess the picture" (which was a pile of Hexagons) I got inspired to do something with this huge bag of hexagons that I had part put together. I am going to just sew them together randomly - which is nothing like what I intended to do originally - and see how they turn out. Look how old the fabric is! I see all sorts of memories there! I think origianlly they were to be sewn

I have not deserted my blog. Just went away for the Easter Break, over to Victor Harbor in South Australia. We have been there many times for Easter, and this year was just as lovely as always. The weather was perfect, we saw lots of markets, lots of wineries and lots of lovely places to eat out. All in all I had a great time! Will be back on the weekend with some more blogging!

I was so lucky to win another prize. This time from Willowberry Designs. I won this great pattern and two very scrumptious pieces of fabric and matching threads. I am thinking of making it for my new daughter in law in England. My quilt group is having a challenge to see what can be made from teatowels. Have you seen the lovely teatowels available now? Too nice to use for drying dishes.The cushion and little bag I have made used three teatowels and I have a bit left over for something else - just don't know what that is yet.The little bag took a lot of unpicking to get the lining right, quite frustrating really!!Now..

Flirting With Flowers

My next 'Flirting with Flowers' block. I did this at quilt group on Thursday and I like it a lot, it is very pretty, and was quick to do.
