and just today I have started on my first 'Ahhhhh, hexie' If you are fond of doing hexies why not pop over here to see what Tonya is going to show us over the next year or so.
Her instructions are very good and she is going to show us a different hexie each week. I have decided to make mine with whatever fabric I fancy at the time - some will be bright and cheery and perhaps some will be drab and dreary. We'll see how it works out. I don't think I want to make a quilt from them so I will have to think of other uses. Shouldn't be too hard if the first one is anything to go by. Below is not how my finished hexie will look, it has to have small triangles of plain yellow around the inside hexie and also on the outer edge, you can see another photo when I have it finished.
Why not have a look and join in.
These look great. I'm about to get back into some of my hexagons. You are very organised getting your Christmas presents done.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and as a zipper bag junkie myself I love the idea of popping a hexi on them.

ReplyDeleteWelcome!!!
Just had a look at the blog. Thanks. Will add this to my to-do list.:)
ReplyDeleteThe fabrics for your first one are pretty and I like the bags. I keep trying to think of things I could use hexies for. hmmmm, I wonder why?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bags and thanks so much for sharing Tonyas ideas. I'm going to enjoy seeing her hexies and yours too.
